Hello from Seoul!
I have finally arrived in Seoul on Monday night.  Someone from the university came to get me from the airport and took me to my dorm.  Boy is it hot and humid here!  Unfortunately, the next day, Tuesday, there was a typhoon coming, so we were told to stay in our dorms.  The wind was strong and there was lots of rain, but it was bearable.

Today, we had a Korean language placement test, so that we may take a Korean course here.  Later, I met up with the FISH scholars, Jarenn and Huy, from Yonsei, and we ate lunch and walked and shopped around the our schools.
Tomorrow is the international student orientation, where all international students will finally get to be in one place and meet each other.  I a really looking forward to that so that I can make more friends!  I'll let you know how that goes!

Welcome!
My name is Jenna and I am from the University of Hawaii, majoring in accounting.  This fall, I will be studying abroad in Korea at Ewha Women's University.  I love traveling and experiencing new places and cultures in order to broaden my horizons.

I particularly chose Korea, because I am half Korean, and wanted to learn more about my Korean background.  I am excited to learn the language, taste the food, and learn about the culture!  I also hope to gain insite to the way Korean businesses are handled, as well as give feedback from an outsider's point of view.

I was fortunate enough to be chosen for the Freeman Scholarship to help with the funding for the exchange program.  The scholarship has created an opportunity for this dream of traveling to become possible! I am extremely grateful to Mr. G Freeman and Mrs. D Freeman for this huge once-in-a-lifetime experience!

I leave in two weeks, can't wait to share my adventures with you!
